Donald Joseph Qualls also known as DJ Qualls in America is an American actor and producer. He shot to fame after his role in Road Trip. Since then, he has appeared on 20 features such as The New Guy Hustle & Flow or The Core. Also, he has been on more than 22 series, such as Breaking Bad Supernatural and Scrubs. The Hodgkin's lymphoma patient who survived and diagnosed at age 14 Qualls is an avid fighter. After two years of treatment the cancer was cured. Treatment at a young time had negative effects on his body. This impeded his growth. As he was raised in poor circumstances, he was determined to achieve financial stability. He commented, "I've been living so frugal for so many years and I'm desperate for money security or else the world is going to feel chaotic to me." In an interview the interviewer also talks about his own childhood. The goal of his is to stop the bullying. "Cruelty breaks me heart," he said. DJ's dream role would be to play a father figure in reel as well as in actual life. Director doesn't pick him to fill these roles, however, he claims. He would like to become father one day to be able to devote more time to his son and less to his career.
